The "Tsuchime", hammered finish pattern, gives an elegant, luxurious look to the Seki Magoroku Imayo knives. This series features a high-hardness blade finished with a three-step sharpening process that ensures a sharp edge with long-lasting cutting performance.
Made with pakkawood for a premium feel and excellent strength, the rounded shape of the handle provides a comfortable fit in your hand. The partial-tang designed, with the steel extending to the end of the handle, adds extra stability.
The blades of the Imayo knives are made of 1K6 steel (56 ±1 HRC), making it especially resistant to corrosion due to the high chromium content. The greater carbon content ensures a better edge holding ability.
The all-purpose Vegetable Cleaver can be used for meat and vegetables. The blade thickness is 2mm.
Care Instructions:
- Rinse in hot water before use
- Use a wooden or plastic chopping board
- After use wash knife with a mild detergent and dry with a soft cloth
- Acidic foods in particular should be rinsed immediately after use
- Do not place in the dishwasher
- Do not immerse wooden handle in water for extended amount of time
- Store knife in a knife block, wooden drawer insert or in a blade guard or sheath
