SHUN CLASSIC LEFT HANDED

Born of the ancient Samurai sword making tradition and hand-finished for precision and beauty, Shun Classic is the ideal line for anyone making their first foray into the Japanese knife market. Produced in the widest variety of specialised styles, the Classic line features both traditional European blade shapes and innovative cutting-edge designs. Shun Classic's amazingly sharp blade is famous for both edge retention and ease of sharpening. Each blade has a core of VG-MAX "super steel" clad with 32 layers of pattern Damascus Steel on each side. While the patterned layers enhance the knife's beauty, they also support the core and add stain resistance. Combined with the elegant, slim tapered handle in black pakkawood, the result is an overall aesthetic design with quality and functionality at its core.

So if you’re left-handed and didn’t think you’d find the correct fit for your hand, try Shun’s reverse grip handles—or even our standard grip. You just may find they give you the feel and control you’re looking for.

Blade Material: VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61 (± 1) HRC forms the core of the entire blade right up to the edge. Sheathed in 32 layers of Damascus steel, the knife has an incomparable anatomy with a stable blade that, due to these two components, is both hard and flexible at the same time.

Bevel: Double beveled.

Cutting Angle: 16° per side (comprehensive 32°)

Handle Material: Ebony Pakkawood (premium resin-impregnated hardwood) makes the handle particularly robust and resistant to moisture; D-shaped handle ensures a comfortable and secure grip when cutting, thanks to a slight angle on the left-hand side. The integrated tang provides stability and balance.

Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty
